Mrs. Hedrick's Weekly News for Parents

“Believing in the Power of YET!”

Good evening,

I hope that everyone is safe and dry, and that everyone keeps power throughout the remaining remnants of the storm. The district is continuing to monitor the latest updates. At this time, we are on schedule for Monday. If something were to change, you will be notified by the school phone system as well as our Remind App.

We loved having our Grandparents visit us Friday. Our students were thrilled to share their classrooms with these very special people and to spend a little time with them. Thank you so much for the special way that our grandparents love on and support our kids. Seeing the smiles and excitement was very touching.

This week, BES is proud to sponsor Bully Free Week. Throughout the week, we will be kicking off our year long effort to promote a Bully Free School and to educate our students and staff about bullying and ways to prevent and deal with it. Please see the flier below for daily themes and talk with your child each day this week about what we discussed during the day.

This year, we are highlighting one student from each grade level during our school Morning Meeting each week. These students practiced and displayed our school Essential for this week. They each received a Certificate, 3 Class Dojo points, and a free Frosty from Wendy’s! We would like to congratulate all of our Students of the Week so far. BES is packed with amazing students!!!

From 6:30-7:30, children will go with adult volunteers and BHP Teacher Cadets for some fun activities, and parents will attend the workshop in the library. This week, Dr Keith Hart (Pediatrician from AnMed) will be coming to discuss media and the effects it has on our children. He will provide so much wonderful information that everyone will want to hear. Please see the flier below for more details.
