Mrs. Hedrick's Weekly News for Parents

“Believing in the Power of YET!”

Thank you to all of the Veterans in our BES Family. We appreciate your service and are grateful for the freedoms that you helped to provide and preserve. We would like to invite all of our BES family that are veterans to attend our Thankful for Our Veterans Program next Monday, November 19 at 2:00. A flier will come home Monday with more details.

Thank you to all that were able to come out for our Family STEAM Night and a special thank you to Shady Grove Baptist Church for providing the Hotdog supper for our families. Everyone had a wonderful time working together to complete a variety of STEAM challenges and activities.

On Monday, November 12, our 5th graders will have the opportunity to visit and tour Anderson University. Please be sure that your child wears comfortable shoes for walking around the campus.

Khan Academy offers a variety of resources for students and parents especially in math. If you are looking for ways to help your child in math, click here to see if Khan Academy can be useful. This is a wonderful resource that spans over many grade levels. I have used it myself to help my own children.

Please note that the Honea Path November date has been changed to November 13 due to the election. Topics and other dates are the same. Please share this opportunity with everyone.
