Mrs. Hedrick's Weekly News for Parents

“Believing in the Power of YET!”

Last week was another great week of learning together and enjoying activities related to preventing bullying. This week will be a very busy week. Book Fair opens Monday. This year, we are excited to also have an online opportunity for our Book Fair. Parents or grandparents can shop online with their students from now until October 2 to purchase book fair items, and everything will be shipped to the school for free. Click here to visit the Online Book Fair Store.

Our PTO Open House is this Tuesday from 5:30-7:00. We will begin with a quick opening session in the gym. After opening session, classes will be open for visits, PTO will be selling pizza for dinner,  the book fair will be open for shopping, and our computer lab will be open if you still need to complete registration or need to sign up for parent portal. Looking forward to seeing everyone then.

Thursday is BES Spirit Day. Please encourage your child to wear his or her house colors to school that day.

Fall Pictures will be taken on Friday. Can't wait to see all those beautiful smiles. We also have a guest speaker coming Friday afternoon to teach our kids about pedestrian safety in preparation for our Walk to School Event on October 3.

Congratulations to this week’s Students of the Week. Thank you to these students for sharing their awesomeness with us everyday.
