Our students have reached the Million Minute Challenge!! Way to go!! We are looking forward to seeing how many minutes over a million they can achieve now. We are also looking forward to our celebration on March 27. Thank you all for encouraging your child to read and log his/her minutes.


The BMS band will be visiting our 5th graders on Tuesday. If your child did not sign up for band last week, it is not too late. They will bring some information home Tuesday after the visit. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Fulmer at BMS. He will be happy to assist you.


Tuesday, March 19, Parenting Together will meet at BES at 6:00. Dinner will be provided first followed by games for the children while the parents meet. Jim Rosenberger, Counselor at New Foundations Family Counseling Center, will be our guest speaker. I hope that you and your family will be able to attend this session.


Our Family Literacy Night will be Thursday from 5:30-7:00. We have lots of fun and exciting activities planned for the night. A flier with details will come home on Monday. The book fair will also be open for you to shop and a hot dog dinner will be provided. I hope everyone will be able to come out and enjoy this family event.


During the day Thursday, our Strings students will be going on their field trip. Please be sure that your child has turned in his/her permission slip.


Friday will be a staff development day and student holiday. Our After Schoolers will be going on their field trip that day. Please be sure your child has turned in his/her field trip permission slip for that event. If you have any questions about times to drop off or pick up or any other question about the trip, please contact Mr. Fowler.


If you have younger children between the ages of birth and 4 years old, you are eligible to receive books and other resources for your children. All you have to do is register at .


Khan Academy offers a variety of resources for students and parents especially in math. If you are looking for ways to help your child in math, click here to see if Khan Academy can be useful. This is a wonderful resource that spans over many grade levels. I have used it myself to help my own children.
