Parents: We will be hosting a Parent Workshop on Internet Safety on November 3rd at 4pm EST. This will be the first of a two part Parent Workshop. We had a great time today with the ladies from the Math and Science Governor’s School. Every student in our school participated in a STEAM activity for our BES STEAM Day! Learning is fun!!

BOOSTERTHON FUN RUN October 12 At this time, we are planning to have the FUN RUN outside on our field. Parents are invited to attend. We know that there is a chance of rain during the night, but we are hoping that it will clear out several hours before the rain. Students need to wear old tennis shoes and clothes to run in. I would suggest bringing an extra pair of shoes/socks, especially for our third graders since their time is in the early morning. ***WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT SIGN OUT YOUR CHILD EARLY! Teachers will still be teaching, and giving quizzes/tests throughout the day. 3rd Grade - 8:30-10:00am 5th Grade - 10:15-11:45am 4th Grade - 12:30-2:00pm ***If the field is too wet, we will move the FUN RUN inside the gym. Our gym is very small. If this is the case, parents will not be allowed to attend. We will make a decision on this early in the morning. If you do not hear from us, plan on it being outside.

BES Family: Reminder that students should log into google meets at 8:30 today. Students that do not login will be marked absent. If the student doesn’t have access to internet to login, they will have 5 days to complete and turn in the work. When they do so, the absence will be changed. Hope your child has a great day! We will be in the office if you need assistance.

Don’t forget to get pledges for the weekend challenge! $2 per lap or $60 flat donation for a special prize tomorrow!!

We are so excited for our First Day of School! Just a few reminders: Car Rider Door will open at 7:15 AM. Remember all students are dropped off at the front awning and sidewalk. Please be sure to enter the car line from Myrtle Ave on the school side of the road. This is for everyone's safety. The Tardy Bell will ring at 7:40 and Instruction will begin at 7:45. We will work hard to move our car lines quickly but please be patient with each other and us as we all get used to new routines. Buses will dismiss at 2:30 tomorrow with walkers dismissing shortly after that. Car riders will begin at close to 2:35 as we can. Again, please be patient with each other and us as we get things up and rolling. Everything will speed up as everyone gets into routine. If you have not completed registration, please do so ASAP. If you need assistance we will be happy to help between 9:00 and 10:30 tomorrow. If that time does not work, please call Ms. Brittany or Ms. Kim to set up a time for them to assist you. If you have not completed the Free and Reduced Lunch form, your child will begin being charged for meals in the morning. Please plan accordingly. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Mrs. Krystal. Can't wait to see you in the morning!!

We are excited to have you join us for Meet the Teacher on Thursday, August 11. Feel free to drop in any time between 2:00-6:00pm for you to meet your child’s teacher. Please register before coming to Meet the Teacher. If you need assistance registering, we will have staff that will be able to help you. You can sign up as a PTO member and/or to volunteer during the school year. We will have our new Belton Elementary School t-shirt on sale for $15. If you have not already, be sure to complete the free/reduced lunch form. If you not already signed up for Parent Portal, Ms. Kim will be able to help you get signed up. We can't wait to see you tomorrow!
